Beautiful Tornado Producing LP Supercell in New Mexico! – June 12, 2021 Storm Chase
Ah yes, a home field chase in the Land of Enchantment! Ever since I moved here, I’ve dreamed of a supercell forming off of the Sangre De Cristo mountains and spinning over the open high plains just to the east with it eventually producing a pretty tornado. On this June storm chase day, I had…
Texas Panhandle Dryline Supercell and Tornado! – May 26, 2021 Storm Chase
There weren’t many traditional dryline setups on the menu for me this year, so when one finally matched up with my schedule on May 26, I had to give it a go. My initial target was the Oklahoma Panhandle with the thought I might need to hedge into Kansas as the day went on —…
When storm chasing goes bad! How to bust the Titan way! 5/23/21 Storm Chase
There was SO MUCH anticipation for May 23 in Eastern Colorado. A (rare for this region) 10% tornado outlook was issued by the SPC and morning models were very bullish on isolated supercells forming along a dryline and racing east and north with tornadoes possible. Heh. The plan for this day for us was super…
Incredible tornadoes over the open high plains! Colorado Magic – 5/22/21 Storm Chase
Ohhhhhh Colorado! Like for real this state has been the bane of my chase existence since I started. Colorado chases meant one thing: bust. Not just any bust, but the silliest and weirdest ways to bust. From no roads to get to the storm to a great looking day turning into aggressive rain showers in…
Beautiful white tornadoes in Texas on a classic triple point storm chase!
In what was one of the only dryline/triple point setups of the year, I happened to time some PTO just right to give this day a go and I’m so glad I did! On the Southern Plains, the very biggest days are dryline driven, especially for photogenic storms and tornadoes. Anytime I see a dryline…
Low CAPE/High Shear rocketships in the Texas Panhandle with a side of twisters! (3/13/21)
Heading into 2021, I felt so much uncertainty about the prospect of making a full storm chase season happen again. I had largely taken 2019 off due to some extreme burnout after a (successful) stint doing storms on TV. I wanted to chase again in 2020 but my job situation was complicated by the uncertainties…
May 28th, 2021 Roswell, NM Hail and Dust Storm
A powerful supercell moved southeast across Roswell, NM and dropped destructive hail up to 3″ in diameter. It also produced a powerful dust storm which made visibility zero and created deadly driving conditions! This was the first time I have ever been caught in dust such as this!
May 22nd, 2021 Akron, Colorado Tornadoes in 4K UHD
A series of tornadoes formed across Northern Colorado along a stalled boundary early in the afternoon on May 22. We caught these initial tornadoes before the storm mode turned messy and crowded out our tornado chances.

4K UHD – April 23rd, 2021 Lockett, Texas Photogenic Tornadoes
A southeast moving supercell, that formed just southwest of Childress, Texas eventually produced several (4+) tornadoes across northern Texas over a few hour span. The first tornado happened north of Crowell, Texas with several larger and more photogenic tornadoes occurring later near Lockett, Texas. March 24th, 2021 Hamilton, TX Brief Tornadoes
Brandon Sullivan documented numerous, very brief and weak tornadoes near Hamilton and Cranfills Gap, Texas. This day featured a tornado watch and this storm was all by itself for many hours, but failed to produce a significant tornado, but did produce some large hail over golf ball size. I captured some of the hail falling.
Winter storm impacting central Oklahoma! (February 14, 2021)
An impromptu snow chase! A major winter storm is arriving onto the Plains with heavy snow in tow. This system has prompted blizzard warnings in New Mexico and winter storm warnings from Albuquerque, NM to Memphis, TN. We took some time to film some heavy snow scenes around central Oklahoma as some of the strongest…
