May 18, 2010 was a moderate risk chase day with loads of potential. We didn’t have to wait long before the storm produced its first tornado of the day.

A few brief snippets as we move around the core of a storm with softball size hail. Unfortunately, the windshield didn’t dodge the biggest stones.

This was a great day of chasing which ended in a tornado at blue hour near Clinton, OK.

A day where the cap held, and held, and held until it finally let loose with a big time supercell in NW OK.

This was a day we won’t soon forget…but because it was a wasted opportunity.

One of those mistakes you don’t like to make that we learned a lot from: when we found ourselves stuck with no options near Jericho, TX as a tornado bore down on us.
