Texas tornado yesterday!

This twister formed off of a boundary intersection on a day that had just enough there for tornadoes otherwise. But the combination of a remnant outflow boundary (a thunderstorm generated cold/stalled front) and a dryline (meeting of the desert and tropical gulf airmass) made for a locally volatile environment just near Clarendon, Texas. This storm produced several tornadoes in a very rapid succession, with this one being the last one of the sequence just SW of Clarendon. This tornado lifted just prior to coming into town and the recycling phase happened right over town and the storm died shortly thereafter. Can’t say enough how close of a call it was for Clarendon yesterday. As expected, this storm season is going big over the Plains. #tornado #weather #nature #storm #texas
