We’re not expecting any severe weather out of the system moving out tomorrow into Thursday in the region — but some heavy snow is possible over the Southern Rockies and adjacent High Plains. Additionally, some areas in the region will also get a pretty good rain (albeit very cold).

The current WPC snowfall forecasts show the best chances of 4″ or more of snow exists along the Higher Terrain in New Mexico and Southern Colorado. But there will also be extensions of that risk onto the adjacent High Plains as far east as the Panhandles region.

This is a very wet system, which will be very beneficial as we think through drought conditions heading into Spring 2024.
