Rain chances will increase by late week across the middle of the country, with snow being increasingly likely towards the higher terrain of the Southwest and the Rockies.
Before then, we should have pretty mild temperatures over the region this week — with a tiny taste of Spring on tap. Usually, a warm-up like that would lead you to wonder if severe weather was on the menu this time of year, but repeated wipes of the Gulf of Mexico by cold fronts will likely lead to a very low to minimal chance of severe storms.
