Internship Overview
We’re seeking a passionate meteorology student with a strong interest in communications to join our team for an exciting fall internship with an expected workload of 10 hours weekly. This position offers a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of meteorology and modern media, gaining hands-on experience in content creation, public communication, and the backend operations of a dynamic weather media brand. This is a paid internship.
Responsibilities
Contribute to building out our meteorological glossary for Titan U
Develop written materials on tornado/storm safety for public distribution
Create engaging social media content related to weather topics
Assist with organizing backend elements for our website redesign
Participate in learning sessions about high-impact weather communication
Qualifications
Required
Currently enrolled in a Meteorology program
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain complex meteorological concepts to a general audience
Proficiency in basic computer skills and social media platforms
Preferred
Interest or experience in communications or journalism
Familiarity with content management systems and website backends
Knowledge of severe weather safety practices
Skills You’ll Develop

Supervision
The intern will report to Raychel Sanner, who will provide guidance and oversee project work.
