Our 10 favorite graphics for forecasting supercells and tornadoes is the closest we can get to actually giving a morning routine walkthrough when it comes to forecasting severe weather.
This almost 13 minute video will walk through all 10, what to look for, and how we use them to forecast supercells and tornadoes.
Thank you so much for this!! Do you use Lid Strength Index at all? I’ve seen this parameter mentioned more and more as one of the top ones to use.
Bryce C it’s definitely been a trend recently but most of what it’s saying is also readable on other charts. It’s a good parameter to sum up cap strength but it’d need to be combined with other aspects of a forecast to be most effective!! (The case with em all really ha)

Great info. But isn't it pronounced Cah-vee-aht?
Thank you, sincerely from the bottom of my confused little heart.
YOU ARE VERY WELCOME! Hope this one helped!
thanks man! I am still trying to get all of this down fore next season. I really want to know more about forecasting and how storms work and this helped out a lot i appreciate it so much!
Bookmarked! Nice job! As one who has never "chased" a storm (except on a computer) it would seem that the most important skill is being able to understand and react to conditions as they evolve. Don't get too locked in to a certain strategy or be unwilling to go with plan B or C.
Stunning videos. What's the music
Will the hobbyist subscription plan from Pivotal Weather give me all the information that you described in this video or do I need the commercial subscription?
