The Storm Prediction Center has Monday outlined for a severe weather risk, with a 30% outline put onto Day 4. This all but guarantees at least an enhanced risk (3/5) by Monday.

Threats: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and areas eastward face large hail from supercells, plus a tornado and wind damage risk. The tornado risk will be higher as storms form into a line of storms and march east as the day moves on.

A storm chase? Given the messier storm modes over a more eastern axis of terrain, I’m not sure we’ll fully pursue this system. This isn’t the type of day we typically get much out of photographically, but it is a day on which we’re likely to see a lot of hail/wind damage reports.

We’ll have more updates on this day as we move through the weekend.
