High-based, outflow dominant storm that had marginal supercell characteristics at times near Rotan, TX. The textured base on this cell land slanted nature were both clues (along with the higher storm base) that we have an outflow dominant storm here. This meant the tornado risk was near zero, but the hail and damaging winds were both pretty rough to get through as we moved around the storm’s core to punch our ticket home. This was one of the cells we’ve captured on the Southern Plains so far this year, it has been a slow start but likely won’t remain that way for much longer. #weather #storm #nature #supercell #lightning
