Another cold front is through the Plains today with, once again, bitter cold temperatures in tow. This reinforcing shot of cold air will delay but not prevent the incoming mass warm-up.

Still, despite warming temperatures generally, there is growing concern for freezing rain Sunday night into Monday morning across portions of S and E Oklahoma.

Strangely enough, though, the fact we are talking freezing rain and not snow with how long temperatures have been on the cold side is, in fact, a sign of growing warmth. Next week looks active with a parade of storm systems, but the severe weather chances look low for now.
