The WPC is telegraphing what is pretty apparent on all forecast data, and that is through next Friday, we should see a much quieter week overall, weather-wise, in the middle of the country.

As the ongoing rain-maker departs the region, in its wake, there will be tranquil and warming weather throughout the week. Many areas may see 60s and 70s for high temperatures. The 60s could stretch all the way to the Dakotas by the end of next week!

As we head into next weekend, though, the pattern will become much more active, with the first full week of February possibly featuring some big winter systems in the middle of the country. But that’s a bit far away to get too excited about for the moment.
