It’s not much today, but a weakly sheared environment mixed with up to moderate instability will result in a few robust storms along a sagging cold front this afternoon.

The overall look to this day is one that resembles a lot of days with scattered and sporadic large hail reports. There’s a lot of instability above the freezing line today, with small amounts of low-level shear. This, combined with a cellular storm mode will likely result in a some big hail reports out there today.

Storm coverage will be pretty sparse, and any storms that do form should do so mid-late afternoon before dissipating just a bit after sunset.
