The Floods of 2015 (HP Supercells, Tropical Storms, Oh my!)

The Spring of 2015 was an amazing and historic turnaround when it comes to weather patterns flipping on a dime. Leading up to the Spring, we were in the midst of a multi-year, prolonged, and historic drought over the Plains.

As we entered the Spring, a new pattern set up which allowed for a barrage of slow moving storm systems to bring wave after wave of heavy rainfall.

Then, as the Spring season began to wane and we thought the barrage was over, Mother Nature had one more card up her sleeve: A TROPICAL STORM which brought another wave of flooding to the state of Oklahoma in June.
