Jonas from Gewitterjagd has hit another home run here. Loved the original Stars and Storms, and here’s his second iteration. Timelapse with a SLR is something I seriously want to do. Maybe on the list of things to do for 2013. In the meantime, enjoy this incredible piece of work from our friends in Germany!!
This short video is a masterpiece of timelapse photography around storms. Watch it, let your jaw drop, and enjoy! Totally need to do some of this still timelapse photography for next season!!
The French are good for a few things. French fries, a place you can woo the ladies with on a vacation, and awesome developing storm timelapses which feature a storm developing and tornado’ing in the same shot. Watch this storm develop as an LP Supercell then produce a tornado around the 40 second mark. Incredibly cool!
This video is absolutely amazing and shows the progression of the Waldo Canyon, CO fire from a pretty safe distance as the sun sets and nighttime moves in. The eerie orange glow from a wildfire in the distance mixed with sirens, helicopters, and flashing lights is one of the most eerie sights you will ever see. Video after the jump!
Everyone knows Osage County is terrible for storm chasing. It is the largest county in Oklahoma by square miles and it’s the worst in terms of good, useable roads. The Titans are in Osage County on a tornadic supercell and must make a tough decision — go into the middle of the county on roads which may leave them stranded tens of miles from the nearest house or watch a supercell with a tornado fade into the distance.
