On the Plains: Does that small hill or river protect you from tornadoes?

We’ve all heard the stories from locals about how that river protects you from tornadoes or the fact the town lies within a small dip in between two hills.

This video tries to tackle that myth by showing how silly those arguments are when it comes to the Great Plains and tornadoes.

Unfortunately, the only reason your town hasn’t been hit by a tornado in tornado alley recently is simply out of sheer, dumb luck. Nothing more and nothing less — but if you don’t believe us watch the video!
