Beautiful Northern Lights in Minnesota!

November 14, 2012 |  by

We’ve got some new Aurora video in this morning from the great Doug Kiesling from near Wheaton, Minnesota. This is a great timelapse video of one of the few things I’ve never quite gotten on video myself. Must get up there and do this sometime! Amazing!

Official Video Description: “A strong geomagnetic storm is underway this morning from a pair of CME’s that left the sun over the weekend and have hit the upper atmosphere of the planet.

Footage is from western Minnesota just north of the town of Wheaton, MN which was on the edge of the cloud that covered the midwest.

24P Timelapse footage shows the northern lights dancing in the sky.”
